Coffee for Good Series - Backpack Brigade

As part of our Coffee for Good campaign during September and October, we're proud to support Backpack Brigade, a King County nonprofit on a mission to END weekend hunger for homeless and food-insecure school children. Since 2014, Backpack Brigade has worked to ensure children who rely on school meal programs have access to nutritious food when school isn't in session. Through partnerships with more than 107 schools across five King County school districts, the organization delivers weekend hunger bags filled with breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks, helping children return to school on Monday well-fed and ready to learn.

Powered by more than 150 dedicated volunteers, Backpack Brigade currently serves over 5,300 children each week. What makes their model so remarkable is that 100% of donations are used to purchase food for the kids. Volunteers do the rest, preparing, packing, and delivering weekend hunger bags to more than 100 local schools. It's an incredible community effort that ensures children have the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

For every bag of this coffee sold during September and October, we will donate $3 to Backpack Brigade, helping provide meals, hope, and opportunity to children in our local community.
