Reflecting on our first Coffee For Good campaign with NWIRP

On July 1, 2025 Caffe Ladro launched the Coffee For Good series—an initiative designed to blend our love of coffee with meaningful community impact. For our inaugural cycle, we partnered with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP), a nonprofit organization committed to defending and advancing the rights of immigrants and refugees across Washington State.

Brewing Change, One Bag at a Time

From July through August, we featured a limited-edition Coffee For Good 12oz bag, donating $3 from every unit sold to NWIRP. Thanks to our customers’ support, we were able to raise awareness and funds for NWIRP’s critical legal services and advocacy work. Each bag included a QR code linking to NWIRP’s story, helping our community learn more about the challenges immigrants face and the resources available to them.

Why NWIRP Matters

NWIRP’s mission aligns closely with our values of equity, compassion, and community, and the belief that mmigrant rights are human rights.  Their work ensures that  individuals—many navigating complex immigration systems—receive the legal support they need to live with dignity and security. Through this partnership, we were proud to stand alongside NWIRP in their fight for justice. We hope we brought some attention to this important work and provided connecting points for any of our coffee community to get informed and involved.

In August we had the opportunity to host a few members of the NWIRP team at our Pine St location, to answer questions and provide ways to organize around immigrant rights. What’s Next?

As we wrap up our first Coffee for Good cycle, we’re inspired by the impact we’ve made together. We’re already preparing for the next chapter, continuing our commitment to spotlighting local nonprofits and using coffee as a tool for change.
